đź’– Our Mission: Giving Back with Purpose

At Sophia’s Boutique, giving back isn’t just something we do it’s at the heart of who we are.

That’s why I’m excited to share a very personal journey: I’ve been selected as one of only five students from Salve Regina University to take part in a faith based mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Mustard Seed Communities.

This is more than a mission trip it’s a calling to serve, love, and grow.

🌍 Why This Mission Matters

Mustard Seed Communities provides safe, loving homes for abandoned children and adults with disabilities offering care for individuals with conditions like autism, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and more.

Their homes in Puerto Plata and Santiago, like Hogar Immanuel and Hogar Niños de Dios, offer more than physical care they provide dignity, spiritual healing, and hope.

When I learned about their work, I knew I wanted to be part of something so meaningful.

🙏 A Heart for Service

This trip gives me the chance to live out my faith through action serving those often forgotten, and being present in places where love is needed most.

My dream is to bring light, listen deeply, and grow in compassion while learning from the incredible individuals I’ll meet.

✨ What Your Support Makes Possible

To participate in this mission, I need to raise $5,000 to cover essential travel, lodging, and program costs. I’m funding this on my own no help from my parents and trusting in God’s provision and the kindness of this community.

Breakdown of Costs:

  • Fundraising Payments: $1,200

  • Background Check: $17.50

  • Airfare (round trip): $1,000

  • Program Fee (lodging, food, local travel): $2,000

  • Recreation & Personal Expenses: $170

Whether you give $5 or $500, every contribution helps bring this journey of purpose closer to reality. And from now until December, 50% of all proceeds from Sophia’s Boutique will be donated directly to support this mission fund.
